The whole staff is really helpful and does a great job of answering quickly. Both my merchants and I are constantly impressed with the speed that calls are answered (usually within a few rings by a live person), and that may be the single most important thing to a merchant; getting a live person on the phone. The staff seems very knowledgeable and never, ever sounds like they are talking down to you because of a question you ask. I have had several merchants mention to me that NPS has easily the best tech support staff of any merchant service company they have worked with. - DW of FL

I picked up a really great gift card I ran across the other day and mailed it to him just because I thought he would like it which he did. My point is that it is really nice to work with people that come to mind in the routine of my day and want to share something with them. I really like the match and I really enjoy the fact that I can look up merchant volume daily and see just what they are doing...It's like they have nothing to hide. They make it easy so you can just go out and write business. Something I plan on doing full time in the near future. To all of [the Nationwide staff],
I just wanted you to know just how fortunate we are to have the crew we have in technical support. I've worked with many over the years and by far, this crew is the most technically proficient and professional — they are all great to work with. I would list each name but don't want to leave anyone out. Last week a merchant of mine had a grand opening and had ordered a second terminal for the additional location. We were under a time crunch and Brad and I completed the details and the terminal was on my door step the next morning, just in time for their showing and opening - I couldn't say more about the great help and assistance these guys give.
The same goes for the folks at the help desk and customer support — every time I call I get the distinct impression they actually know me and do everything they can to help. Thirdly, I've worked with underwriters over the years and I must say, our team is the best. With all that being said, it looks like I've covered just about everyone at Nationwide. If your goal was to create a "Cheers" kind of environment, where everyone knows your name regardless of never actually meeting personally, then you've succeeded.
I hope I soon have the opportunity to meet all of them and thank them personally but in the interim, please extend my personal thanks and appreciation to each of them for the fine job they all do. -J.P. of NC

I'm off to a slow start due to some other time demands I have right now, but thanks to your encouragement for looking for larger accounts I have added a nice furniture account ($40K), and will be adding a restaurant ($50K) and a web based business ($15K to $20K) in the next few days. Previously, I was wasting time with start-ups and not getting anywhere on residuals.

Last week, one of my accounts called the help desk for copies of past statements. After customer service spoke with the merchant, I was copied by your agent notification system and decided to contact the merchant. I had found that a competitor was in there attempting to earn their business. Toward the end of a T7P download on Friday afternoon, the servers went down. I was left in 'terminal hell.' I reached your help desk by phone... and they stuck with me for the 7 hours it took to get the terminal up and running. Eight calls to me, with updates and ideas. The final call came five minutes ago, just to confirm that everything was OK on my end. You might feed some line that 'this is simply their job.' Bologna! They went far far beyond what we might expect from an employee. They took ownership and responsibility for the problem. I'm impressed. I'm proud that I work with this organization. -R.S. of ME
